Efficiency Points Table

A variable speed drive introduces some inefficiency into the pumping system. The user needs to supply a curve relating variable speed drive efficiency to pump speed. This data should be obtained from the variable speed drive manufacturer but is often difficult to find. Variable frequency drives (VFD) are the most common type of variable speed drive used.
